咖啡果小蠹之防治藥劑研究

摘  要

咖啡果小蠹已是臺灣咖啡產區造成嚴重為害的害蟲。本研究於室內探討不同藥劑對咖啡果小蠹之防治效果,在蟲體上直接噴施藥液之試驗,以培丹及陶斯松達100%死亡率為最高,佈飛松之90.38%次之。另將藥液噴於受害之咖啡果實表面,果實內之害蟲並不會死亡,無法達到防治的目的。

現有技術:咖啡果小蠹已普遍分布於臺灣之咖啡園,造成程度不等之危害,目前均使用專屬之誘殺器進行防治。

創新內容:為臺灣地區首篇進行咖啡果小蠹藥劑防治試驗探討之報告。

對產業影響:運用殺蟲劑進行咖啡果小蠹防治之探討,滅少危害,提高咖啡產量與品質,增加收益。

Study on the Control Efficiency of Insecticides against Coffee Berry Borer, Hypothenemus hampei

Abstract

Coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei, is a newly emerging pest and caused serious damages on coffee in Taiwan. This study aimed to evaluate the control efficiency of insecticides against coffee berry borer in laboratory conditions using direct spray. Results indicate that the highest mortalities of adult coffee berry borers (100%) were found in trails involving Cartap and Chlorpyrifos, followed by Profenophos (90.38%). We also sprayed the insecticides on the surface of infected coffee berries, and the borers inside appeared unaffected, suggesting that surface spraying might not be able to control the coffee berry borer.

What is already known on this subject?
Coffee berry borer is commonly presented in coffee plantations and the red trap is the currently used method for the control of this pest.

What are the new findings?
This is the first report of chemical control on coffee berry borers in Taiwan.

What is the expected impact on this field?
Study on the control efficiency of insecticides against coffee berry borer, reduce the damage, and increase the yield, improve the profits of coffee berries. The farmer’s profit, thus, is increased.
