本研究目標在建立甘藍及晚生種花椰菜大量幼苗春化技術，試驗研究低溫處理下光照對幼苗春化作用效果之影響，結果顯示甘藍苗以5℃低溫春化處理6週期間，配合光照(1000 Lux)處理或無光照處理，其單株採種量在二處理間無顯著差異。在晚生種花椰菜565及729品種，以5℃低溫春化處理8週期間，配合光照(1000 Lux)處理者其單株採種量顯著高於無光照處理者。惟甘藍及晚生種花椰菜以1-MCP 燻蒸處理後，再以5℃低溫春化處理8週期間無光照處理組之產量與5℃低溫配合光照(1000 Lux)處理組無顯著差異。經由本試驗可證實初秋甘藍及565與729二品種晚生種花椰菜之春化作用可以1-MCP 燻蒸處理後再進行低溫暗處理，可以取代低溫光照處理，即光照因子非為春化處理之必要條件。
Vernalization Treatment for Commercial Seed Production
of Cabbage and Late Cauliflower

The major purpose in this study was to develop an efficient and commercial vernalization method for seed production of cabbage and late cauliflower. The results showed that there was no significant difference in seed yield between 5℃without 1-MCP treatment for six weeks with and without light (1000 Lux) in cabbage. In late cauliflower ‘565’ and ‘729’, the seed yield of the 5℃without 1-MCP treatment for eight weeks with light was higher than that of the treatment without light. In addition, the seed yield of an eight weeks 5℃without 1-MCP treatment with light was higher than that of the vernalization with 1-MCP and without light. In late cauliflower ‘729’, the seed yield of an eight weeks 5℃without 1-MCP treatment with light was higher than that of the treatment without light. However, there was no significant difference in seed yield between an eight weeks 5℃without 1-MCP treatment with light and 1-MCP treatment without light. This study had shown that vernalization with light can be replaced by vernalization without light in some cultivars. Light may not be necessary for vernalization in cabbage and late cauliflower. Light did not seem to be an important factor in the vernalization of cabbage and late cauliflower.
