甜玉米「臺南26號」之育成及品種特性

甜玉米臺南26號為新育成單雜交品種。原品系代號為PSC952052，自民國95年起進行新品系組合力檢定試驗，再經新品系比較試驗、新品系區域試驗、官能品評及果穗籽粒理化性分析等試驗，於本（100）年命名為臺南26號品種。臺南26號果穗碩大，植株性狀整齊，抗倒伏且穗位適中，有利人工採收。對葉部病害如葉斑病及銹病之抗病性屬於抗級。在春作株高平均表現為208公分，秋作平均為193公分。於春作採收期為73〜90天，秋作為74〜113天，屬於中熟品種。果穗鮮嫩可口，籽粒可溶性固形物達14~16°Brix，風味口感俱佳。每公頃含苞葉鮮穗產量可達23,000公斤，比對照品種華珍增產47％，是豐產及適應性廣之優良甜玉米品種。

Characteristics of a New Sweet Corn Variety
“Tainan No. 26”

Abstract
Tainan No. 26 is a new single cross variety released by Tainan DARES in 2011. It had high fresh ear production in yield trials and showed good performance in regional trials and sensory evaluation trials. The new variety has strong plant and high fresh ear yield with husk about 23,000 kg/ha, good ear shape and excellent eating quality. Tainan No. 26 also has good resistance to rust and leaf blight. It is an intermediate maturity sweet corn and suitable to be cultivated in Yun-Chia-Nan areas.
