　　洋桔梗台南1號商品名夏美桃，屬一代雜交品種本品種係於民國94年春完成雜交，並於98年7月完成命名審查，本品種主要特點為耐熱，生長勢強，粉色重瓣切花用品種。春作株高為82.3-88.5公分，秋作株高為76.5-85.6公分。花形為廣漏斗狀，花朵數6-8，花瓣數19-28片，花徑約7.7-8.8cm，花色為單色粉色(RHS 65B)。定植至開花期：春作80-85天，秋作65-70天，屬中生品種。

Breeding of a New Eustoma Variety “Tainan No.1-Summer Mei-Tao

Abstract

　　Tainan No. 1-Summer Mei-Tao is a new variety of Eustoma, which was released by Tainan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station in January 2006. The main characteristics of Tainan No. 1 were as follow:

1. Eustoma Tainan No. 1 is a heat tolerant, pink color double flower type for cut-flower variety.
2. The plant height is about 82.3-88.5 cm in spring crop and 76.5-85.6cm in the fall.
3. The flower shape is wide funnel-shaped, with 19-18 of petals and 7.7-8.8cm of flower diameter.
4. Flowering intimation is about 80~85 days and 65-70 days after planting in the spring and the fall cropping, respectively.
