Study on Plug Tray Immersion Sterilizing Machine and Test of Sterilizing Plug Trays

Summary

¡@¡@According to the demand of nursery farmer, a plug tray immersion sterilizing machine was developed and manufactured. The dimension of machine are 1,930 ¡Ñ 690 ¡Ñ 1,460 mm. (length ¡Ñ width ¡Ñ height) The pneumatic control is adopted to control manipulation procedures. The efficiency of this machinery was affected by the immersing time of trays. The results indicated that plug trays dried in the air by 24 hours after hypochlorite sterilized did not affected the germination percentage of cabbage. That germination percentage of cabbage in used plug trays, treated with 2 minutes by 6% or 3% concentration of sodium hypochlorite, and 14 hours by solar radiation, were significantly different from that without treated.
