The Relationship Between the Incidence of Corn Virus Disease and the Inoculates Conditions
C. M. Tseng
The additions of buffer solution boric acid and sodium sulfite to the corn virus disease (Badila-isolate, SCMV-D) source caused 52% more infection. The artificial inoculation with abrasion in the greenhouse causes 68% infection. Test on the effect of different stages of plant development on the incidence of corn virus disease showed that plants with 5~7 leaf stage were most suitable for inoculation and had 56% infection. Among the post-inoculation temperature treatments on the incidence of corn virus disease were better infected at 26 ±0.5℃ and reached 48.7％ infection, meanwhile the incubated for the corn virus disease had been shortened for 2~3 days.
