The Relationship between the Variations of Main Quantitive Characteristics and Percentage of Starch Content in Hybrid Lines of Sweet Potato
S. T. Mao
In the lines used for his study the variation of yield of effective stems and leaves didn’t influence the percentage of starch content of tuber roots. The variation of yield of tuber roots had a negative correlation with the percentage of starch content. There was a high positive correlation between the variations of percentage of dry matter and percentage of starch content of tuber roots. It shows the percentage of dry matter is a selection index for the percentage of starch content.
