台灣甘藷簇葉病之媒介昆蟲

摘  要

   於甘藷簇葉病發生田補獲12種浮塵子及一種蚜蟲,試驗結果,僅有一種浮塵子可以傳病,該蟲經日本愛媛大學石原保教授鑑定是黑斑浮塵子,並將原學名改為Orosius ryukyuensis。其餘昆蟲均未能傳病。黑斑浮塵子目前在台灣之密度甚低,但似有逐漸增高之趨向,本病原在甘藷植株體內之潛伏期因季節而異,夏季約2∼3個月,冬季約4∼5個月,其病徵由頂芽開始,葉變小而捲曲,隨後腋芽欉生,植株生長受阻,幼苗接種而受感病者,不開花,但田間自然發病者,有花器葉化(phyllody)之現象。


Insect Vectors of Witches’ Broom of Sweet Potatoes in Taiwan

Summary

        Studies on the transmission of sweet potatoes withches’ broom were made by using 12 different species of leafhoppers and on species of Aphid collected from the field where sweet potatoes had been damaged by withches’ broom.  The results demonstrated that only Orosius ryukyuensis could transmit the disease.  The population of Orosius ryukyuensis was now very low in Taiwan, however it may be going higher in the near future.  The incubation period of the disease in the sweet potatoes was about 4~5 months in winter, and 2~3 months in summer.  The typical symptom showed small and curl leaves on the terminal buds at first, consequently the abnormal branches occurred, and the stunting of the plant was finally resulted no blossoms appeared in the inoculated young plant, but it appeared phyllody in the field.
