落花生新品種台南10號之育成

摘 要
台南10號係於民國53年秋作以台南6號 × Florispan Runner交配之後代選出之南改系96號而育成。經過高級產量試驗及區域試驗（F12∼F22），至民國65年登記命名推廣。本品種之主要農藝特性如下：
1. 屬於Spanish型，株姿矮小，葉色濃綠，莢果有網紋種皮淡紅，在田間生育中，容易與其他品種識別，是株姿不同之品種。
2. 籽粒含油量為57.1％，比台南選9號高出5.7％，是一種高油分之品種。
3. 依據全省區域試驗結果（民國63年及64年，9處），平均公頃乾莢果產量，春作為2,869公斤，秋作為2,551公斤，比台南選9號春秋作各增收5.3％及2.7％。但其剝實率為72.4％，比台南選9號較低2.8％。
4. 對小綠浮塵子及薊馬等昆蟲類之抵抗性較強，抗落花生銹病及葉斑病具有中等程度，相同於台南選9號。
5. 就上述成績而論，台南10號可適合全省春作栽培。又由於植株小不易引起徒長而倒伏，亦可適合與其他作物間作。
Development of An Oil-Rich Peanut Variety-Tainan No. 10

Summary
A new peanut variety Tainan 10 has recently been developed and released by Tainan DAIS. It resulted from the cross Tainan 6 × Florispan Runner, was made in the fall season of 1964. And passed the advanced yield trial and regional yield test as the breeding line Nan-Kai-Si 96 from 1970 to 1975 (F12-F22). Then registered in 1976. Tainan 10 has several traits and agronomic characteristics as follows:
1.A Spanish type, semi-dwarf growth habit, small leaves with dark-green in color. Pods reticulated, light pink in color of seeds. It is easy to recognized from the other variety (Tainan Selection 9) when cultivated in the field.
2.A high oil content up to 57.1%, showing 5.7% more than that of Tainan Selection 9 (check variety) so it is an oil-rich peanut variety.
3.According to the results of regional yield test at the 9 locations of whole island in 1975 and 1976, the average yield of dry pods per hectare is 2,869 kg in spring crop and 2,551 kg in fall crop, yielded 5.3% and 2.7% higher than that of Tainan selection 9 in each crop. However, Tainan 10 has a 72.4% of the shelling percentage, it shows 2.8% lower than that of Tainan Selection 9.
4.Based on the filed test of diseases and insects, it indicated that Tainan 10 has shown more resistance to insects such as leaf hopper and tripe. And for the diseases of peanut leaf rust (Puccinia arachidia speg.) and cercospora leaf spot showed a moderate level of resistance as Tainan Selection 9.
5.As above mentioned, Tainan 10 will be adaptable to the spring cropping of whole island. And because of the dwarf plant type, it is able to tolerate the lodging when the plant is overgrowing. It seems to be suitable for the intercropping with other crops.
