洋蔥採種技術之研究

(二)洋蔥採種栽植密度試驗(第一年)

摘  要

洋蔥採種係用種球即普通之鱗球栽植,其栽植密度愈大採種量愈高:以40cm×20cm及40cm×30cm為第一。其次50cm×20cm及50cm×30cm或80cm×30cm及80cm×20cm為第二100cm×20cm及100cm×30cm為最低。栽植期間之生育情形:栽植密度愈大生育愈整齊、缺株少抽苔整齊反之則生育不齊、缺株多、抽苔不齊。至于田間管理如種植、培土、施肥、除草等行株距愈小愈感不便,如40cm×30cm、40cm×20cm、50cm×30cm、50cm×20cm等。行株距愈大管理雖較方便但浪費土地,且花莖易下垂或倒折影響採種。適宜的行株距為80cm×20cm或80cm×30cm。故依採種經濟觀點及田間管理,生育情形,採種量等因素來看,洋蔥最適當的採種行株距為80cm×30cm或80cm×20cm。

II. A Study of Plant Density on Onion Seed Production

Summary

       Onion bulbs were planted for seed production.  Results showed that more seeds were harvested with increasing plant density.

        Plant density of 40 cm × 30 cm and 40 cm × 20 cm were the highest; 50cm × 30 cm and 50cm × 20cm or 80cm × 30cm and 80cm × 20cm were the second; 100cm × 30cm and 100cm × 20cm were the lowest in seed yield.  Plants grow in high density were more uniform in developing, bolting and fewer in missing plant than those grow in low density.

        High plant density of 40cm × 30cm, 40cm × 20cm, 50cm × 30cm and 50cm × 20cm caused more problems in planting, cultivation, fertilizing and weed control.  Cultural practice was easier in low plant density system.  However, this would cause land waste and lodging or broken of umbels.

        According to cultural practice, plant growth, seed production and economic point of view, the recommend plant density for onion seed production is 80cm × 30cm or 80cm × 20cm.
